These terms govern your use of Pipeline Punks educational offerings (labs, workshops, and cohorts) operated by True North Data Strategies LLC. By registering for any offering, you agree to these terms.
What's Included: Access to starter repository, requirements documentation, tests, and 1 round of code review via GitHub pull request.
Timeline: You have 2-4 weeks from registration to submit your pull request for review. Feedback provided within 5 business days of submission.
Completion: Lab is considered complete when your PR passes review (tests pass, meets requirements, readable code).
What's Included: Live instruction (virtual or in-person), hands-on building sessions, materials (module docs, repo, config templates), and 14 days post-workshop support.
Duration: 1-2 days as specified in workshop description.
Attendance: Workshops run with a minimum of 6 participants. If minimum is not met, we reserve the right to reschedule or provide a full refund.
Completion: Workshop is complete when you deploy a working system by the end of the scheduled session.
What's Included: Weekly live sessions, async communication channel (Discord/Slack), 2 code reviews per participant, peer learning, and post-cohort alumni access.
Duration: 4-8 weeks as specified in cohort description.
Commitment: You're expected to attend weekly live sessions, complete weekly labs, and participate in code reviews. If you miss more than 2 sessions, you may be asked to defer to a future cohort.
Completion: Cohort is complete when you deploy a working system, write documentation, and can explain your design decisions.
7-day refund: Full refund if requested within 7 days of registration and before you've submitted a pull request for review.
Before workshop starts: Full refund if requested at least 7 days
before the workshop date.
7 days or less: 50% refund.
After workshop starts: No refund (materials and instruction have been delivered).
Before cohort starts: Full refund if requested at least 14 days
before the cohort start date.
14 days or less: 50% refund.
After Week 1: No refund (cohort has begun, materials delivered).
Exception: If you need to withdraw due to emergency, contact us
to discuss options (credit toward future cohort, partial refund, etc.).
To request a refund, email jacob@truenorthstrategyops.com with your name, offering, and reason. Refunds processed within 7 business days.
Pipeline Punks is a learning environment for competent, respectful builders. We expect:
Unacceptable behavior: Harassment, discrimination, spam, promotional content, disruptive behavior, sharing private materials publicly.
Consequences: Warnings for minor issues. Removal without refund for serious violations. We reserve the right to refuse service.
All course materials, documentation, module templates, and instructional content are owned by True North Data Strategies LLC or licensed for use.
Your License: You may use materials for personal learning and building systems. You may not resell, redistribute, or create competing courses based on our materials.
Code you write in labs, workshops, and cohorts is yours. You own it, you can use it commercially, you can open source it.
Shared Learning: By participating, you grant Pipeline Punks permission to reference your work (anonymized or attributed, your choice) in future educational materials as examples.
50% Credit Toward TNDS Implementation: If you complete a Pipeline Punks offering and want True North Data Strategies to implement a production version of the same system, you can apply 50% of your education cost toward the TNDS quote.

Your results depend on your effort, existing skills, and circumstances beyond our control.
We make reasonable efforts to ensure materials work as described. However:
If materials are fundamentally broken, we'll fix them or issue a refund.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, True North Data Strategies LLC is not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of Pipeline Punks services.
Maximum liability: Amount you paid for the specific offering.
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Colorado, United States, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes will be resolved in Colorado courts.
We may update these terms as offerings evolve. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last Updated" date. Significant changes will be communicated via email to registered participants.
Your registration: By registering after changes are posted, you agree to the updated terms.
